1. Scope
This policy applies to the FROSTOCK iOS app (the “App”) and this website, and explains how information is handled when you use them.
2. Information handled
Information you add
This includes food names, quantities, purchase and expiry dates, storage locations, notes, photos and shopping-list entries that you enter or import into the App.
Information processed on your device
Date-label and receipt text recognition and barcode detection use Apple technologies on your device. FROSTOCK does not send those images to servers operated by the developer.
Information used for advertising
The App uses Google AdMob. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may process an approximate location inferred from an IP address, device- or app-related identifiers, advertising data, app interactions, crash logs and performance data to provide and protect advertising.
3. Storage and iCloud sync
Food data is normally stored on your device. If you enable iCloud sync or family sharing, it is stored in Apple iCloud/CloudKit linked to your Apple ID. Apple's terms and privacy policy also apply.
4. External services
When you request a barcode product search, the barcode number and technical information needed for the connection are sent to Open Food Facts. This happens only when you use that search.

5. Advertising, tracking and analytics
Ads are delivered through Google AdMob with non-personalized treatment. At launch, the App checks required choices with Google's User Messaging Platform and requests ads only when permitted. The Google Mobile Ads Publisher First-Party ID is disabled before the SDK starts. Where required, you can review or change advertising privacy choices from FROSTOCK Settings.
The App does not access IDFA or track you across other companies' apps and websites, so it does not show Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission prompt. AdMob may still process app- or developer-scoped identifiers for ad delivery, aggregated measurement, frequency capping and fraud prevention. See Google's policies for details.
6. Notifications
If you allow notifications, expiry alerts are scheduled as local notifications on your device. You can change permission at any time in iOS Settings.
7. Access, export and deletion
You can export inventory data from Settings and delete individual records in the App. You can remove all data through the App's data controls or by deleting applicable iCloud data. Shared data may remain with other participants depending on the sharing state.
8. Children
The App is not directed to children and does not intentionally collect children's personal information. Minors should use it with a parent or guardian's consent where appropriate.
9. Security and changes
Reasonable measures are used to protect handled information against unauthorised access, disclosure and alteration. This policy may be updated as features or laws change. Important changes will be noted on this page or in the App.
